31st Annual Ann Arbor Garden Walk™

Saturday, June 8, 2024

10 am to 5 pm

"The beauty of a garden is not in its perfection,
but in its imperfections and the stories they tell."

The eight locations on our 31st Garden Walk certainly promise stories, insights, and inspiration around every corner. There's so much to explore, we've extended the day an extra hour! Join us from 10 am to 5 pm to explore seven unique private gardens and a certified organic farm.

Most of the private gardens have been tended by their owners for many decades, and each has its own personality. The variety is extensive: small city lots to expansive acreage, sun to shade, rain gardens, waterfalls, ponds, native plants, wildflowers, perennials galore. Get a glimpse in the slideshow below.

Discover an 'arboretum of art' hidden in the city; a charming repurposed garden structure with a working widow's walk; a nature area-adjacent garden where urban and rural blend; and a property with a WWII Monuments Men connection. We're also revisiting a past Garden Walk favorite, where glass and mosaics reflect the beauty of the garden year-round.

Slow Farm is a woman-owned, USDA certified organic farm. Started in 2017 on 187 acres, the farm grows a wide variety of heirloom produce and flowers using sustainable practices. Take a behind-the-scenes look into organic farming and meet the people committed to growing food and community in environmentally friendly ways.

A plant table featuring splits and divisions of perennials from the gardens of Ann Arbor Farm & Garden members was a big hit last year, so we're doing it again! Located at one of the gardens, Walkers are welcome to take a few pots of nature home. Donations will be accepted. Look for details in the Garden Walk Guide (link provided in email purchase receipt).

The Treat Truck, an Ann Arbor-based company, will be located at Garden 7 from 11 am to 2 pm, selling sweet treats that are 100% vegan, dairy-free and plant-based. Carol Furtado, local fiber artist, will offer colorful handmade scarves and other unique pieces.

As always, proceeds from the Garden Walk fund AAF&G’s annual grant and scholarship awards, supporting local garden and farm projects and education. Visit our Giving page to learn more about our impact within the community.

Purchasers will receive an email receipt with full event details. This receipt must be presented at the first garden location visited to receive a wristband for entry into all locations. See Ticket Information on this page.
