About this event
Native plants are a hot topic in gardening today, for many great reasons. Explore why and how to incorporate natives into your home landscape with Ann Arbor Farm & Garden from 10 am to noon on Saturday, March 23 at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. Dixboro Road.
“Growing Wild: Creating Vital Ecosystems with Native Plants in our Home Gardens” is the theme of the morning’s presentation, with a panel discussion and Q&A following. Local experts Meg Delaney from Ann Arbor Wild Ones and Mitchell Swindell, owner of Detroit Wildflower Nursery, will provide information on native plant selection, growing tips, and environmental impacts.
Public (non-AAF&G member) admission is $15; Wild Ones members, $10; AAF&G members, free. Parking is included. Proceeds fund garden-related grants and scholarship support within Washtenaw County.
Registration closes at noon, Friday March 22.
